Notes for Carter C. BURNETT

Carter never married [JBB]

Appointed on of executors to father's estate. Also served
as adminstrator of his mother's estate. In her estate
papers, it states" The petition of Carter Burnett showeth
that his mother Artemesia Burnett late of the District
departed this life intestate on or about the 15 th day of
August last 1856 having a small personal estate. [Edgefield
co. Estate Papers Box 74, pkg 2991]

1860 census: Dorn's Mill PO, p. 139 B, Edgefield Co., SC -
also in household: R.S (m), age 34 ( ca 1826) farmer
$3250, $5000 and D.G.(David Guilford) (m) farmer, 42 (ca
1818) $0, $8000.

1864 - Equity Suit - Carter Burnett and others vs William
& Martha Wheeler (Littleberry Burnett's in-laws] , Petition
to sell land.
