Notes for Pleasant Burnett JR
Pleasant seems to have been a very prosperous man and owned
land and possessions of some value. According to the
listing of property in Pleasants will, he owned
approximately 30 slaves.
Pleasant served as the executor of his mother's will [Will
of Anna Teer Box 29, Pkg # 1036 Edgefield co., SC]
Information from Sammy Gorman: The Proctor Cemetery can't
be seen from the road. Road #132 does not cross Hwy 246.
It's on the left as is the cemetery which is about 1/4 mile
past it, just as the woods end by a field. The cemetery has
a road which you can drive up if your car is not to low to
the ground. Only about 50 yards. Pleasant's stone is very
faded but can be read.
