Could he be be the J. P. Burnett in Co K 2nd Reg,
Artillery.{Chapman's History of Edgefield Co]
Named in Pleasant Burnett's will Item #2n (distribution of
slaves) - James Pinckney Burnet- I give Wiley and Marian.
#8 - It is my will that upon the death of my wife the tract
of land which have will to her for life shall be equally
divided amongst the eight (8) children in this section
named, Viz: Mark, Ralph, Pinckney, Carter, Sarah, Gilford,
and Artemesia Burnet.....
On page 341, above reference, she lists same children
belonging to a Pleason Burnett m Mary Dodson who is the son
of Pleasant and Artemesia.???Where does James Pickeny
belong.
